'Muhammad (PBUH) the Messenger of God' to open Iran Film Week in Bosnia

'Muhammad (PBUH) the Messenger of God' is to inaugurate Iran Film Week in Bosnia.

Iran movie 'Muhammad (PBUH) the Messenger of God' has been set to be screened at the openinig ceremony of Iran Film Week in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Directed by Majid Majidi, 'Mohammad (PBUH) the Messenger of God' is to inaugurate Iran Film Week in Bosnia and Herzegovina capital city of Sarajevo.

Iran Cultural Center in Sarajevo is to organize the event.

The movie portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet and narrates his early years in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the entire life of the Prophet.

A number of internationally-acclaimed professionals, including Academy Award winning visual effects supervisor and filmmaker, Scott E. Anderson, and three-time Oscar-winning Italian director of photography, Vittorio Storaro, collaborated in the making of the film.

The movie attracted a large number of audiences during its screening in Iranian cinemas and abroad, including in Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and so on.

The screenplay of the film, which is the biggest-budget production in Iranian cinema, was co-written by Majidi and Kambozia Partovi.

This is the thired year in a row in which the Iranian Cultural Center holds this cinematic event in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The event is slated for February 26-March 2, 2018.
